To tell the truth I have mixed feelings about this stimulus. I like the idea of a $1500 check, but am unsure that it is the best way to help the economy. It seems that extending unemployment benefits and food stamps would ensure that money went back into the economy rather than paying off debt or enlarging savings accounts. Personally while I’d like the money, I would rather see a package that wouldn’t increase the deficit as much, and that would be more effective. In the end this stimulus may be more about the election than the economy.
